Our guests this evening, and I’m over the moon about our guests tonight. I believe they’re in Nashville, Tennessee, let’s say hello to Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. Good evening.

RP: Yes, good morning.

A: Hello.

BJ: Yes, its good morning for you isn’t it.

RP: Well its good day I think, yes.

BJ: Nice to speak to you. You are in Nashville, is that right?

RP: Yes.

BJ: And what are you doing, are you just doing press or are you recording a few songs as well?

RP: Well Alison’s got a term for it, what did you call it?

A: I call it pre-production, a mysterious term.

RP: Yes, we’ve got a whole bunch of songs and we’re just going does that work and does that work. Yes, so we’re trying it out again. ||Continue reading||

Robert Plant: “From my viewpoint, world music carries a kind of slur, because there are areas of music and musical promotion, and attempts at material gain, which are basically pumping out such crap. Never mind the pop world. It’s the same in all the different spheres. Because it’s a money machine as well. The sad thing is it’s a small percentage of what is called world music that is sullying the whole picture of it, I think.” ||Continue reading||

RP: It’s over 37 years since the first Led Zeppelin song was heard on American radio and in September, 25 years since the passing of Jon Bonham. These days go very quickly. I can’t really remember much about what happened in this point in time. I know it’s a bit of a cliché to say that, but it’s quite true. I do know that there was a lot of high points and a lot of great enthusiasm and industry in the heart of Led Zeppelin and it’s been a major part of my creative life.
